Midou Ban and Amano Ginji are the Retreival Agents who run 'Get Backers' with 100% success rate. While Ban has the special ability 'Jagan' - an ability to make other people dream his illusions for a minute, Ginji is the 'Thunder Emperor' who can produce limitless electricity from his body. Together they finish the jobs enjoying some intersting incidents on their way and encountering intersting persons who aide / oppose them.

Himiko Kudo aka Lady Poison : She is the former accomplice Ban along with her brother in his previous retrieval group. Some misunderstanding lead her believe Ban killer her brother and now she sworn to kill him. But ends up joining with him in his operations. [voice by : Natsuko Kuwatani ]
Shido Fuyuki aka Beast Master : He is one the Four Gods of VOLTS which reigned Infinite Castle under Ginji Amano, the then Thunder Emperor. He has the ability to control animals. In a case, he was hired to stop the Get Backers and after the reunion with Ginji, he also starts being in the retrieval business but alone. He too aids GB. Madoka-chan becomes his sweet heart later on. [voice by : Takanori Hoshino ]
Kaziki Fuuchouin : He too is one of the Four Gods of VOLTS and he too abandoned Infinite castle after Ginji and Shido left. He can control threads and can use it to kill or pretect anyone. He often collects information with it too.
